As in most cases, the book is still better than the movie. If you’re a book fan, that is. While there is nothing horribly wrong with the movie, I still think it’s a bit too commercialized for comfort. The film version also veered quite a lot from the book, but I think that is to be expected since the story and the way it was written was probably too simple for a full-length movie. What the screenwriters did was to add layers to the story and make it more engaging for all types of audiences, especially those who haven’t read the book yet.

The main difference is that they made Caspian older and added a slight romantic angle between him and Susan. They also played out a conflict between him and Peter. Then they also brought back the White Witch, which I think served to connect this second Narnia film with the first one.

Generally though, the movie is entertaining and I like it in that sense. Nice special effects. And Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian – yum! Give me a prince like that and that’s another reason to never leave Narnia, haha! 😉 Can’t wait for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
